Welcome

I’m very  happy to be starting this new blog. There is so much to say about the phenomenon of CMPEs (Conjunctions of Meaningfully Parallel Events), which I informally call “signs,” that I could write each day for years and not repeat myself much.  In my house we (my wife Nicola, our housemate Dee, and I) talk about signs every day and never get tired of it. Through this blog I hope to be able to convey some of what we talk about and some of why our enthusiasm never wanes.

I plan to use the blog to share more about the phenomenon itself, about how it works and how to work with it. I plan to share examples of CMPEs and stories of how lives have been changed by them. I plan to share how our plans to research this phenomenon are going forward. I plan to address two opposite poles, the skeptics and the credulous believers, and explain why I think a middle ground is required. And I plan to range wider and indulge in some philosophical musings of the larger implications of this phenomenon. Along the way, I expect I will express too many opinions about too many things. I will probably argue too many cases too fervently. But then I understand that that is what blogs are basically for.

I would love to hear responses from you out there, including your thoughts, questions, and suggestions. I welcome dissenting views, as long as they are stated in a civil manner. I hope that those I know who are actively working with signs will participate. All in all, I expect we will have a very good time with this.
