Maria, thank you for all that you shared. I don't see a CMPE here, as you'd need more parallels that were also more a part of the actual events themselves. But that doesn't diminish the importance of what you are talking about, which is clearly a deep issue for your life as a whole. From what you say, it sounds like you feel you have hung back and observed too much, and let life, and perhaps a partner, pass you by. That's a hefty realization. The challenge now, of course, is to act on it! As one observer to another: I'm cheering you on.

Robert, I think I found another parallel and I think it is the main one. I'm sorry this may be long. I read your post again. It struck me you mentioning studying CMPEs for 30 years; well, I have been stuck on something for a few months myself. 30 years ago I was in love with a student teacher at a university in Colombia where I was studying. This was a platonic relationship, but I think there was no mistake; this person liked me. He was also painfully shy. As I learned later, he was not supported at the university, so he left to another state and a year later he got married. I never saw him again. I was devastated but there was nothing I could do. I went through a painful and slow recovery and 30 years later I thought I was done with it.

But, up until know I had no idea what I have done wrong. Then, a few months ago unsettled parts of it started popping up. My 16 year ild son started dating and having his own romance issues. It bothered me "too much" if he was too upset or seemed heartbroken for whatever reason. If he asked for advice, what could I tell him? Trust your instincts? It didn't work for me! Then, I started doing the lessons in the workbook and as I went along more and more of these issues kept coming up. You know the Course aims just for that. And finally, I think I got it!

Remember an e-mail I sent you about your article titled "Jesus' advice to Bill on how to stop being so disengaged"? Remember that I said it had opened a can of worms for me? Well, that's it! That's it! I am a thinker and an observer. As I get old, I'm learning that that is not enough. The "executive" chair is sayng to me, "now that you know what you are and were missing, get on with it! Don't waist another minute! Check in!"

Well, there are two parallels that I can think of, but I do not know what they mean. I thought it was funny that you described yourself letting your "inner teenager out" since my husband said that the idea of the chair came from my 13 year old son. Also, two days before I pointed out to the Special Ed teacher at the school I work in that music was not been used enough with the Special Ed students. There had been a 4th grade concert that day, and all these students had been completely in their element. I was telling her I wished there were extra Music classes just for them.

Nice to hear from both of you! Neil, I do find that my CMPEs are very reliable, given two qualifications. First, when they speak of the future, I do think they are dealing with probabilities, and in my book I give one example of an unambiguous failed prediction. Second, there is always the question of how close or distant is the symbol that is used fromwhat it's meant to symbolize. That's an extremely vexing question that can somewhat be solved, especially when you have a series of CMPEs. But I think it's almost impossible to completely solve it.

So when a CMPE comes, I trust that what it's saying is valid, in the sense that its predictions (if it's making any) are what is truly probable at this point, and that its symbols are pointing in the right direction, if you can figure out where they're pointing.

Those are hefty qualifiers, but this is still different from saying that the CMPE is truly off in a fundamental sense, as many (most?) psychic impressions are.

Maria, how interesting about your office chair. I wonder if there are more parallels between your gift and my story. That might be something to look into.

Robert, it is a pleasure to have you back! Just by "coincidence" I just received an office chair as a present for Mother's Day. I wonder if it means anything. I have been studying the Course a lot and going through a big personal adjustment myself. Good luck to Nicola!

Robert - This CMPE caused my understanding to jell a bit. It looks like your CMPEs have a perfect record, or close to it. That's much better than even the best psychics do on predictions.

So whatever agency is producing the CMPEs can't be acting on probabilities. It has to have certainty. How is that possible? Even God would presumedly have to work from probabilities.

Well, at least it explains why you can't get a CMPE on request. Regards, Neil

I am new to this site 2nd visit, find very interesting , something i find many times is that i may be reading something or talking to someone ,and on TV that word will be mentioned . probably common coincident s .

We have recently started a small group 6 of folk reading ACIM and i have only been 2yrs, 2nd reading studying it, but so many times during week i have felt led to make a special note of something during private reading, and during our study we share of anything that is on ones mind , and you know what was given previously has been the answer to the question that is asked .

Hope this may of help to you.

Robert thanks for this, i was diverted to you from another ACIM site following comment..
.
Iremember one time i felt similar as MARY M. in John 20; 21; ..... They said to her, "Woman, why are you weeping?" She said to them, "They have taken away my Lord, and I do not know where they have laid him."...

Of course the same metaphor can be applied to your comments regarding the FATHER GOD. ....Who reveals himself as you have discovered through these Godincedences.
I look forward to retuning .....(at first thought returning spelt wrong but maybe not ) to this site

Blessings
